NBA All-Star Sunday

This past weekend saw what the NBA like to call 'All-Star Weekend', where the league showcase their best players with a series of events spread over three days.

The weekend began on Friday with the Rookies v Sophomores game - Rookies came away with the win - then Saturday saw the likes of LA Clipper-Blake Griffin, Golden State Warrior-Stephen Curry and Miami Heat man-James Jones show off their skills in the individual events.

With an eventful Friday and Saturday out of the way, everybody's attention now turned to Sunday and the All-Star Game with the best players from the East taking on the best from the West.

All-Star Sunday included pre-game entertainment from Lenny Kravitz and a halftime show by the stunning Rihanna who also had Drake come out and perform with her, fans were also treated to a surprise performance by Kanye West who performed his latest single 'All Of The Lights'.

It was an amazing night of basketball and entertainment which saw the West take the win and LA Laker-Kobe Bryant aka Black Mamba named the nights MVP.

Check out some of the images from the night.

R.9 hangs up his boots

One of the best to ever do it announced his retirement from international football on Monday.

Ronaldo Luiz Nazario Da Lima or as I like to say 'R.9', played for clubs in his native Brazil as well as top European sides in Holland, Italy and Spain.

He came to Europe as an 18-year-old in 1994 from Brazilian side Cruzeiro, where he was a trainee - to PSV Eindhoven in Holland.
After two years at PSV, the striker moved to Spanish club Barcelona in 1996 and he was there for just over a season before heading to another country, this time Italy in 1997 joining Inter Milan.

In his five years at Inter, he made 94 appearances and scored a total of 59 goals for the club and after a successful World Cup tournament, which saw Brazil crowned World Champions in 2002, super club Real Madrid parted with £20 million for his services.

Ronaldo was at Real Madrid for five years, making a total of 150 appearances and scoring 98 goals for the club before he moved on in 2007 to what would be his final European club, AC Milan.

Whilst at Milan, the then 31-year-old striker only played 20 times for the club due to several injuries and he managed to score on nine occasions.

Winding down his career, Ronaldo went back to his native Brazil in 2009 and joined Corinthians - in what was to be his final club in his amazing career - he managed to score 18 goals and made 31 appearances for the club.

During his amazing career, Ronaldo was voted the World Player of the Year two years in a row in 1996 and 1997, he also won an array of trophies with the clubs he played for in Europe, including the Spanish La Liga in the 2002/03 seas0n.

His international career with Brazil was illustrious and he currently holds the record for being the top scorer in World Cup history with 15 goals.

Ronaldo, one of the best to ever do it...obrigado.
