Something FOR the EARS

This is sweet, trust me.

The brilliant Tennille has brought in 2012 with a bang. For her latest project, Candy Jams, a five track EP – the New York native has put together a clever offering of nice beats and sweet melodies.

After dropping The Bronx Zoo back in October 2011, this is Tennille's fifth solo project. Released on Valentine's Day, the Chuck Inglish produced EP has been well received by her growing fan base.

Highly recommend downloading and experiencing what this girl has to offer.

Casey Veggies

Introducing Casey Veggies, a teenage rapper from LA that looks set to make waves.

Although just 17, he's collaborated with some well known rappers from the West Coast area including the likes of Pac Div, Dom Kennedy and Odd Future.

Being an LA native, Casey has links with Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator after the two grew up together and were performing at rap shows from the age of 13.

For one so young, Casey already has a distinctive sound and whenever he appears on a track, you instantly feel his energy and charisma.

He released his first mixtape – Customized Greatly Vol.1 – back in 2007, volume two followed in 2009, but 2010 was his breakthrough year after he released his third project Sleeping In Class.

His latest mixtape will be re-released on September 20th and this time, the deluxe cd will contain five extra tracks.

If you're a fan of cool mellow rap, I highly recommend you listen to this dude - Casey Veggies.

2011-12 Boot Review

The 2011-12 football season is up and running but rather than analyse the transfers that have taken place so far or give you my opinion on where I feel the league title's going, I want to look at the football boots the players are wearing today.

Gone are the days of the 1980's and early 90's, when players graced the pitch equipped with – in what we'd call today –'boring old boots' .

Puma's from the 1980's era

Players are now sporting some outrageously flamboyant pieces of footwear, and boot manufacturers seem to be getting more creative every season.

Check out some of the football boots players will be sporting this season.

ATTENTION: Some of the colours may cause you to squint – you've been warned!

Nike Mercurical Vapor - Orange: Worn by Real Madrid forward Christiano Ronaldo

Nike Total 90 - Blue/Volt/Black: The boot of choice for Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel

Adidas F50 adizero - Electric/Purple: Barcelona maestro Lionel Messi's weapons

Adidas adipower Predator - Blue/Electricity: Worn by Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey

Puma V1.11 SL - Green/Navy/White: Sported by defender Gregory van der Wiel of Ajax

Umbro Geometra Pro FG - White/Red: Seen on Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart

All the boots featured can be purchased from the Pro-Direct Soccer website.

Crazy Look-alike

Another sport entertainment combo here for this Crazy Look-alike post, as Bayern Munich's Austrian midfielder David Alaba is matched up with Odd Future's man of the moment Tyler, the Creator.

Take a look at the two and see for yourself, they look almost identical.

Ignore Alaba's hair, or just imagine Tyler with a perm...(PAUSE).

Seriously though, just look at the faces – the two guys have some serious similarities on the looks front.

Copa America 2011: Impressive Columbians

The 2011 Copa America is currently taking place in Argentina, and even though there has been an apparent lack of goals in the opening games of the tournament, the football on display has been decent.

Columbia played the hosts Argentina on Wednesday night in Santa Fe and held Messi, Tevez & co. to a well-fought 0-0 draw.

Although the game ended goalless, it was fairly entertaining – with both sides creating chances – a few of the Columbian players stood out on the night for me though.

Below, are four that impressed.

Fredy Guarin
Age: 24
Position: Midfielder
Club: FC Porto (Portugal)

Camilo Zuniga
Age: 25
Position: Defender/Midfielder
Club: Napoli (Italy)

Adrian Ramos
Age: 25
Postion: Striker
Club: Hertha BSC Berlin (Germany)

Carlos Sanchez
Age: 25
Postition: Midfielder
Club: Valenciennes (France)

With the European transfer window open, don't be surprised if you see some Columbians moving around this summer.

Bake Designs

Everybody get familiar with Bake Designs an independent male streetwear brand based in Bristol England, founded in 2009 by Ben Hasking.

They have a website along with a blog and a shop area where you can purchase their latest offerings, which is fairly limited at the moment but definitely worth checking out.

Here are some of my favourite pieces below that are also reasonably priced, which is always nice.
